God’s Voice God’s Timing

A hard look, a hard-honest assessment of our lives will reveal weaknesses and strengths. I’m praying for you and me that as God reveals things to us proportionate to our ability to understand that He will also grant the ability to apply these concepts consistently to our lives. When truth is revealed and is applied to our lives then that’s when real change occurs.

So, in the “wait”, I have assignments from God. I must be careful to write them down and then continually assess where I am on His timeline of successfully accomplishing the things, He has given me to do now. Because that is what He is requiring. I am responsible to pray concerning what is “to come” but I am directly responsible for what is in my wheelhouse, my circle of influence “right now”.

I have learned I cannot run past the building of my relationship with Jesus trying to “do” something for Him, when what He is really interested in, is me and Him!

I have learned that I am not in control.

This journey reminds me of the time that the Lord told me concerning a financial trial I was in. He said, “You can fast, pray, pay your tithes but you’re not coming out of this trial until I say you are.” I may not have quoted Him word for word but believe me the gist of the message was loud and clear. God cannot be manipulated. No amount of personal maneuvering on my part is going to change my situation because I am not the one in control.

I obey what God says and then I must wait. I cannot effect a change because God will make this happen in His own time.

Isaiah 60:22…”When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
